GROUP EXERCISES

It is a cozy experience with ceramics. These activities are a great way to find inner peace, while working with clay. The most important thing is to focus on the process and allow yourself to learn and let go of limiting beliefs and expectations, then the final result will surprise you.

Course consists of two lessons that last for two hours. First lesson is all about learning everything about the clay it's properties and techniques. Than the creative process will start and you will be able to create various types of products. The second lesson consists of baking and glazing your products to give them colors.

INDIVIDUAL COURSES

Individual courses aim at people that are starting out in ceramics. Here you will learn everything about clay and it's properties. We will also discuss glaze variants, while also learning about glazing and molding techniques.

ABOUT MAMi

My name is Martyna Mi. I am the founder of ceramics studio MAMi and a ceramicist. I create hand made ceramics and also do teaching courses on ceramics. Ceramics in these days are a form of meditation and therapy.The only difference is that you do not need to talk instead you have to feel it...

In our family we did not have any ceramicists...there was a lot of art but no ceramics. That is when I started to question why do I love ceramics so much.

Once I matured for changes in my life I decided to tell my grandmother about my desires.

She listened shook her head and began to tell a story...

You know when our kids were little dad bought us a big house with a stained glass inside an attic...The house had a perfect basement and dad had a dream to one day set up a ceramic workshop, produce a furnace since he did not like to purchase things rather produce everything himself. After kids would learn the craft of ceramics and start molding pots they would create a family business since ceramics were always valued through out generations.

Unfortunately, kids did not want this. Instead they would frown and tell their dad to leave them alone...But since dad was a dreamer by nature he did not give up. If it was not ceramics, he would find hundreds of other ideas and he did. He found them, produced, constructed, and did many other things until he had health and his kids grew up.

When kids grew up dad bought another house. In the most beautiful corner of the earth, surrounded by valleys, in the town called Kartena. There dad grew his grandchildren, thought them everything he knew. These were one of the most beautiful childhood memories they could ever have. But ceramics was still just a dream...

Dad - who was also my grandfather with his golden hands and a dreaming heart...after 45 years I sat at my grandfathers place, on a bed and told him about my work while he was drinking tea from my handmade cup. I saw tears in his eyes since after so many years his dream came true.

Now I know that a path I chose many years ago brings me happiness.

Never stop dreaming since all dreams come true. We just have to shout them out loud and let them go into the universe.
